New To You is a project taken up by Block 6 of Roxbury High School's Careers in Family and Consumer Sciences Class. Here, we hope to help offer a way for Roxbury students to remove the burden of purchasing prom dresses and re-purpose the money for other prom essentials such as makeup, hair styling, and accessories. 
In addition to more efficiently spending the budget set for prom, it should also be noted that the fashion and textile industry heavily influences the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions released into the environment. The New to You prom shop hopes to reduce these emissions and reduce waste by reusing dresses that are often purchased for a high price and only worn once.
